strategy mobile marketing providers
Over the past 6 / 12 months is emerging ever more clearly a competitive environment for ICT. If we look at what I believe are the three most reliable players, Google, Apple and Nokia's strategy is clear.
All three, from different places now offer a very similar product with different variations depending on the busy main segment.
All three offer services like web-based "cloud": Nokia Ovi, Apple Mobile Me, Google Apps (Google is the most recognized in this service). All three devices offer hardware and firmware platform to take advantage of mobile services: Nokia-Symbian (the most recognized in the segment), G1-Google Android, Apple iPhone. Finally, all three services have developed to get that call the "constant partial attention" (http://continuouspartialattention.jot.com/WikiHome) by the user.
It 'obvious that the user will have access to their data "in the clouds" not only from fixed locations, but also - and especially - on the move (otherwise, what is it to be "cloudy"). And his connection to the IM services and e-mail alert, will be constant all the time in which no is opposite to a fixed position (ie connected via ADSL or other network). Only three of the Italian phone providers offer a convenient package that allows data exchange without any time limitation (other tafiffe always have a "flap" time). There was an option with only 5 € per month would enable you to download 500 megs of data per month with no time limitations in my view would meet many people who would pay handsomely for the traditional circuit-switched services and SMS.
